Salera preselect hip joint

The Salera preselect is a 3-axis hip joint that actively allows limited circular movement. Thanks tot he sophisticated design, the lower part oft he hip joint allows a defined rotational movement (12.5° internal or external rotation) despite complete blocking of adduction. The extension and flexion are limited by the existing stop surfaces.

The step length can be individually adjusted and released by using interchangeable wedges.Due to the design change of the Salera preselect, the sliding surface has been enlarged.This leads to a reduction in the coefficient of friction and thereby reduces wear. Advantages:

Use:

• For HKAFO
• lesions between L5 and L3 (the patient can still actively lift the pelvis)

Note:
The quadratus lumborum muscle must retain its function. This is because it triggers the pelvic elevation and thus represents the last option to support the SALERA preselect hip joint through the iliac crest profiling when lifting the free leg.

Size chart:

• SALERA preselect small: up to a body weight of 25 kg
• SALERA preselect medium: up to a body weight of 40 kg
• SALERA preselect large: up to a body weight of 70 kg

The hip joints and the pelvic rocker are delivered unprocessed and not welded. As a service manufacturing service, we are happy to assemble and weld the pelvic rocker  (Art.-no.: 80.51.050.001).
